The rather legendary Simpson Golf Shop is the world’s oldest golf shop. Built in 1883, the shop has been standing beside the Carnoustie Golf Club in Scotland for 150 years. The club, as the most ancient and time-honored open course in Britain for “Grand Slam” tournaments, takes an unshakable position in the history of golfing and its most renowned landmark is the colorful rooftop in sight of the green in Course 18th hole—the Simpson Golf Shop. At present, the Golf Shop remains open to the public as a historic preservation architect of Scotland—the origin of golfing. Its iconic handmade walnut golf clubs and delicate trophies in fine silver enjoy global reputation.
